Hua Hin is not far from Bangkok and is a really great destination for a family vacation in Thailand. The town is relaxed, easy to reach, and offers a nice mix of beaches, night markets, excursions, and Hua Hin family hotels. Especially when traveling with children, you’ll find plenty of accommodations here with large pools, kids’ areas, or even water slides, so there’s guaranteed to be no chance of boredom on vacation.
Hua Hin Family Hotels – Our Best Hotels for Families With Children
To save you from having to search through the huge selection, we’ll show you our best Hua Hin family hotels in this article. There’s everything from more affordable hotels in convenient locations to luxurious beachfront resorts. For our recommendations, we made sure that the hotels are not only suitable for children but are also conveniently located for parents and make for a relaxing stay in Hua Hin.
1. Asira Boutique Hua Hin

At the Asira Boutique Hua Hin, you’ll find a smaller and pleasantly quiet hotel in the northern part of Hua Hin. The rooms are modern and welcoming, feel pleasantly bright, and immediately create a nice vacation atmosphere with views of the pool or garden. We especially like that some rooms even have direct pool access, which makes the stay even more relaxing. If you’re looking for a stylish hotel without immediately entering the luxury segment, this is a really well-rounded option.
The property features a large saltwater pool, with the hotel arranged pleasantly compactly around it. The location is also very convenient, as the beach is only a short walk away and restaurants as well as some of Hua Hin’s attractions are easy to reach. As a somewhat quieter Hua Hin hotel tip, we really like Asira if you don’t want to stay right in the middle of the hustle and bustle but still want to get everywhere quickly.

2. Kiang Haad Beach Hua Hin

The Kiang Haad Beach is a good choice if you’re looking for a somewhat more affordable hotel in Hua Hin that still feels pleasantly well maintained. The rooms are classically and comfortably furnished, and there are different categories ranging from pool-view rooms to pool-access rooms, which immediately add a little more vacation feeling to your stay. For a hotel in this price range, the overall package is really impressive, which is exactly why it fits so well into this selection.
One clear advantage is the location. The hotel is close to the beach, right by the Market Village Mall, and the train station as well as the night market aren’t too far away either. On top of that, there are two outdoor pools, which is definitely a nice bonus for a more affordable city hotel in Hua Hin. So if you want to stay centrally located without giving up a pool and short distances, this is a very solid recommendation among Hua Hin family hotels.

3. Hua Hin Marriott Resort and Spa

For us, the Hua Hin Marriott Resort and Spa is one of the best hotels in this selection and definitely a highlight. The rooms are modern, high quality, and at the same time pleasantly inviting, with views of the garden, pool, or sea. We especially loved that despite its size, the resort doesn’t feel impersonal, but rather like a very thoughtfully designed vacation oasis right by the sea. If you’re looking for an upscale resort in Hua Hin, you really can’t go wrong here.
One of the hotel’s biggest strengths is definitely the property itself. There are no fewer than five swimming pools, a kids club, a water area for children, and a beachfront location close to the center. At the same time, shopping, restaurants, and the night market are all within easy reach. For a relaxing family vacation in Hua Hin, the Marriott is therefore one of our top recommendations.

4. Centara Grand Beach Resort

With the Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hin, we have one of those hotels on the list that immediately stands out because of its distinctive style. The rooms and suites combine classic colonial charm with upscale comfort and perfectly match the property’s historic atmosphere. If you’re not simply looking for just any beachfront hotel but rather a resort with character, this is exactly the right place for you. It’s precisely this combination of tradition and location that makes the hotel so special.
The property itself is also a real highlight, with plenty of greenery, direct access to the beach, and several pools. On top of that, it has an excellent location in the center of Hua Hin, as the night market, restaurants, and other attractions are all within easy walking distance. Among Hua Hin family hotels, the Centara is therefore a wonderful choice for anyone who wants to combine classic resort flair with a prime location.

5. Holiday Inn Resort Vana Nava

If you want not only a beach vacation in Hua Hin but also plenty of action for the kids, the Holiday Inn Resort Vana Nava is exactly the right choice. The rooms are modern and spacious, and the KidSuites with their own children’s area and bunk bed are especially convenient. That’s exactly what makes the hotel so interesting for families with children, because instead of simply getting a standard room, you get a concept that’s genuinely designed around families.
The big advantage, of course, is the immediate proximity to the Vana Nava Water Jungle, which even includes unlimited access depending on your package. The hotel is also only a few minutes from Cicada Market and offers several restaurants as well as family-friendly extras such as Kids eat free. If you’re traveling to Hua Hin with children and looking for a resort with plenty of variety, this is one of the most exciting options in the city.

6. Amari Hua Hin

A little farther south in Hua Hin, you’ll find the modern Amari Hua Hin, which overall feels more relaxed than the city’s large luxury hotels. The rooms are bright, contemporary, and pleasantly spacious, many with beautiful views of the property or toward the sea. Especially if you’re looking for a stylish hotel that doesn’t feel overly polished but instead has a pleasantly laid-back and modern atmosphere, this is a really good choice.
The property features two pools and a separate children’s pool, as well as a spa and an overall peaceful resort atmosphere. The location near Khao Takiab is also convenient, as the Cicada Market is easy to reach and it doesn’t take too long to get to the center of Hua Hin either. As a Hua Hin hotel tip for anyone looking for a good mix of comfort, location, and a somewhat more relaxed resort feel, we really like the Amari.

7. Hyatt Regency Hua Hin

The Hyatt Regency Hua Hin is a beautiful beachfront resort in the Khao Takiab area, and its spacious grounds give it a particularly peaceful and upscale atmosphere. The rooms are elegant and comfortable and fit perfectly with the resort’s more relaxed style. If you’re looking for a somewhat quieter address in Hua Hin that is still very well connected, the Hyatt is a really strong choice with plenty of resort flair.
The hotel is especially interesting for families because it has a large pool area with a giant water slide, children’s pool, and kids club. On top of that, there’s the beachfront location and proximity to Cicada Market, which you can easily reach on foot. Especially with children, we think the Hyatt works really well because it offers plenty of space, short distances, and enough entertainment at the same time without ever feeling hectic.

8. Best Western Plus Carapace Hotel Hua Hin

A little farther south near Khao Tao is the Best Western Plus Carapace Hotel Hua Hin, and it’s a really good choice if you deliberately want to stay away from the busy city center. The rooms and suites are modern, some with direct pool access, and the Family Suites with bunk beds for children are especially convenient for families. This makes the hotel stand out quite clearly from classic city hotels in Hua Hin.
The pools are clearly the heart of the property. There are several areas, including a lagoon pool, a beach pool, and the Aqua Play Zone with water slides for children, which is of course fantastic for a family vacation. Khao Tao Beach is also right nearby, so you get more of a relaxed resort feel here. For families who prefer staying a little farther south and place a lot of value on water activities, this is one of the best options among Hua Hin family hotels in our opinion.

Hua Hin: Tours and Tickets
Would you rather explore with a guide who knows the area inside and out? Then we recommend taking a guided tour with a local. It’s a great way to experience Hua Hin from a completely different perspective. At GetYourGuide, you’ll find plenty of exciting tours for Hua Hin.
How to Get to Hua Hin
Unfortunately, Hua Hin Airport is only of limited use for getting there, as the current selection of scheduled flights is very limited. The best way to get to Hua Hin is therefore via the airports in Bangkok. For schedules, prices, etc., we recommend Skyscanner.
Other ways to get to Hua Hin include buses, minivans, and the train, which stops in Hua Hin along the southern route from Bangkok. A taxi would also be an option, as the distance is just under 200 kilometers. If you’re traveling with several people, the price of a taxi would therefore be reasonable as well. You can find more information about buses and trains on 12go.asia.
