A visit to Boracay was also essential during our Philippines trip in December last year! An island that hardly could be more mainstream – that you love or hate.
After 2 weeks on Palawan, Boracay was just such an extreme contrast. But we liked it very much and the island is – despite the mass tourism – simply beautiful. And moreover, there are indeed some lonely places apart from the popular tourist destinations like White Beach and D’Mall.
We spent there Christmas, my 30th birthday and New Year’s Eve. Something I always wanted to do: spending each of these days under coconut trees! Bucket List: check!
