Of course, a perfect day in the Thai capital also includes a visit to one of Bangkok’s impressive sky bars. The Millennium Hilton’s ThreeSixty Bar is one of them, offering a slightly different view of the city, as the hotel is located on the Thonburi side of the river. You can recognize it by its striking rooftop structure, which looks like a kind of UFO on top of the hotel.

The ThreeSixty Bar is not nearly as well known as the Sirocco Sky Bar at Lebua, but it is definitely worth a visit, too. Due to its lower profile, it is also less crowded with tourists, and you are sure to find a quiet spot to enjoy the view of Bangkok. Here you can find out everything you need to know about visiting the ThreeSixty Bar at the Millennium Hilton.

Accommodation in Bangkok – Our Hotel Tip

The Chatrium Riverside Hotel is located right on the banks of the Chao Phraya River and is one of our favorites. It offers top-notch rooms and suites with balconies and views of the city or the river. Additional highlights include a swimming pool, a spa, a modern fitness center, and two restaurants. You will definitely feel comfortable here and enjoy a relaxing stay in the vibrant city.

Since the hotel is a bit removed from the hustle and bustle, it’s perfect for enjoying some peace and quiet. There is a complimentary shuttle boat service that takes you to Sathorn Pier, where you can catch the Chao Phraya Express Boats. Additionally, the BTS Saphan Taksin Station is also located there, providing easy access to Bangkok’s attractions.

You can find more hotels in Bangkok, including in other neighborhoods such as Sukhumvit Road, the Old Town, and Chinatown, here.

How to Get to the ThreeSixty Bar at the Millennium Hilton

As mentioned in the introduction, the ThreeSixty Bar is located on the Thonburi side of the Chao Phraya River. This means that getting there takes a little bit longer. However, there are several options.

You can take the BTS Skytrain on the Silom Line across the river to Krung Thonburi station. From there, continue either by taxi or on the BTS Gold Line to Charoen Nakorn station. This is the station for the Icon Siam shopping mall, which is just a few minutes’ walk from the Millennium Hilton.

Another option would be to take the Millennium Hilton shuttle boat from Sathorn Pier, although this is usually reserved for hotel guests. With a bit of luck, they may still take you along as a visitor to the ThreeSixty Bar. Otherwise, you can also take the free boat from Sathorn Pier to the Icon Siam shopping mall and then continue on foot.

Dress Code at the ThreeSixty Bar

The Millennium Hilton, which the ThreeSixty Bar belongs to, is one of the many 5-star hotels in Bangkok, so you should dress appropriately when visiting. The dress code is stated as smart casual, and it is important to follow it. Otherwise, you may be denied entry.

In the end, this means that men should wear closed shoes and long pants. Whether you wear a T-shirt, polo shirt, or button-down shirt is up to you, but tank tops are absolutely taboo. For women, it is a little easier, and a dress as well as open shoes are not a problem. However, you should not wear short denim shorts either.

Open daily from 5:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., the ThreeSixty Bar offers two areas: the ThreeSixty Jazz Lounge and the ThreeSixty Outdoor Rooftop Bar. On the 32nd floor above Bangkok, it offers a 360-degree view of the city indoors and, outdoors, for example, a great view over the river and toward the Lebua Tower.

As in many sky bars and, of course, as is usual in 5-star hotels, you should also expect higher prices at the ThreeSixty Bar. Cocktails start at 350 baht, and other drinks such as beer are not exactly cheap either. Soft drinks cost a little less, but still much more than you are probably used to. However, the relaxed atmosphere and the fantastic view make up for it.

The View from the ThreeSixty Bar at Night

If you have some time, it is worth staying for a while. If you manage to get to the sky bar at around 5:00 p.m., you can admire Bangkok during the day, at sunset, and later in the dark. Each view has something special, and when the city is illuminated in the evening, it has a completely different atmosphere.

While the side facing Sathorn looks the most beautiful at night, the other views do not offer quite as much, but it is still nice to have a different perspective of Bangkok. It is definitely worth staying until night has completely fallen.

Conclusion on the ThreeSixty Bar at the Millennium Hilton

The ThreeSixty Bar may not offer the very best view of Bangkok and is a little harder to reach, but it is also not overrun with tourists. Here you can relax and enjoy the atmosphere, have a drink, and almost always find a seat. Even though the view is a little different, the Lebua Tower with its golden dome makes a fantastic impression in Bangkok’s skyline, whether by day or by night. If you are looking for a quiet sky bar in Bangkok, then add the ThreeSixty Bar to your list.
