If you want to hang around with far to many unwanted, Khao Lak is the place to go. It certainly focusing on tourists with bad taste from a special part of the world. We have been to khao Lak 7 times now because we love it so much. We have eaten in many different places , but the Orchid is our favourite restaurant. All of the eateries were very reasonably priced. Khao Lak is a very walkable resort and safer now there are two pedestrian crossings. We are older and some pavements have quite high steps down and up, but there are usually little ramps for less abled or children's buggies. There are plenty of mini marts to buy supplies and several pharmacies to get advice or medications if needed. Also plenty of little craft / souvenir shops. There are plenty of bank machines and several money exchange kiosks. Khao Lak is basically one very long main street with shops etc on both sides of the street. Khao Lak is a much larger area than we realized. Fortunately from the Sentido resort, we could walk to all the things we needed and wanted. To go further into town, we could walk (an hour) or take a taxi. Lots of wonderful little bars, shops, and restaurants. While we didn't do too many tours, we did a one day tour to Khao Sok with Ku Khaolok which was amazing seeing elephants in the wild and took a cooking class at Ning's. Felt it was overpriced. Would love to go back to Khao Lok but a 16 hour flight is too far to go. We were in Thailand for 5 weeks and this stop was one of the best.Guest review byOwenCanada - Review score

With views of beautiful nature and tranquil pool area it is everything you can wish for a holiday stay. Fon was very helpful with every request and even managed to secure us spots on the beach with another firendly hotel.
