Direct access to the Tokyo monorail and Keikyu train lines. Takes you into the city with minimal transfers (Shinjuku, Ginza, Shibuya, etc) and in a short time. Three different terminals with various restaurants and shops connected with a free shuttle. Most importantly, direct access to international flights in Terminal 3 so no worrying about being late for check in. This hotel had a wonderful spa (onsen) that provides towels, lounge wear, relaxation area, steam room and sauna. My room was clean and I love the black out shade and curtains.

The hotel staff was very kind sweet and accommodating! It was my fiance and i's first day for a honeymoon in Japan, and I could not recommend this place enough for a honeymoon couple! The stuff was so kind and made us a little postcard that many of the employee signed! Thank you for making it such a memorable experience

You always know what you are going to get with APA hotels. The rooms although small (all hotel rooms in japan are small) are well appointed - comfy beds, kettle for coffee and tea, big screen TV, yakuta for use to the onsen. This APA had an indoor and outdoor onsen free to anyone staying in the hotel. The location was great, right near the subway station and surrounded by family marts and 7-Elevens. I would recommend this hotel as great value for money.

I love the location of this hotel. It is easy to access quickly from the airport. It is directly over the train station, making walking to and from the hotel fast. The train lines let me transfer to different points in the city easily. It was not expensive to taxi/Uber back to the hotel after the trains stopped running. The room was quite, clean, and comfortable with a great view of the city. I was able to enjoy the onsen and rooftop view patio. I went to visit Sengakuji because it was right around the corner. That is a really nice, must-see site.

FAQs about hotels in Tokyo

See It to Believe It!

The capital of Japan, Tokyo is a vast, teeming metropolis nestled between mountains and Tokyo Bay. It’s so huge that you’ll have to come to grips with public transport and maybe even experience being pushed onto a train. Yes, it does actually happen!

Get your bearings by ascending the Tokyo World Trade Center near the waterfront, and savor the fantastic views taking in the red-and-white Tokyo Tower and Shinkuju’s skyscrapers. North is Ueno, home to the best museums (including the Tokyo National Museum) and a large park bursting with cherry blossom in spring.

Equally tranquil are the Chiyoda Imperial Palace and Gardens, surrounded by water. Also in gardens is the Meiji Jingu Shinto shrine in Shibuya, a youthful district where neon abounds.

For more traditional Japanese culture, head to Asakusa whose Sensō-ji Buddhist temple is Tokyo’s oldest temple. Outdoor markets sell a variety of wares, though shopping in Tokyo is, of course, fantastic wherever you go.

Whether you stay in a Japanese ryokan, luxury Tokyo hotel or a hostel, don’t fly out of Tokyo Narita Airport or Haneda Airport without having tried sushi. Another Japanese institution is the sento (public bath) and onsen (hot springs bath) – a must try. Also incredibly popular are Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, Asia’s 2 most visited theme parks.

Tokyo was a great city to visit.

Tokyo was a great city to visit. Lots of history and modern attractions for all members of a family. The temples and shrines were great to visit as well as the markets and then Shibuya, Asakusa for shopping. The museums and Team Labs Borderless were a great cultural addition to our trip.

You can never go wrong with a trip to Tokyo!

You can never go wrong with a trip to Tokyo! There are plenty of city activities to do frm visiting temples, gardens, onsens, just wandering the city. And, when the city isn't enough, you an take a tour from Tokyo central to everest or a wine tour if you like. The train system is very detailed and makes it easy to get around. I would recommend using the japan rail app, to plot your trip route as there are many express trains! :)

Travelled with a group of 12 (kids and grandkids). Tokyo is an expensive place to travel to, but we had a great holiday. Hotel rooms very small unless you pay for high end hotels. Everything else was great. very safe and easy to travel around. Kids loved everything Japanese. Visited Disneyland and Disney Sea. Disney Sea was awesome. Would love to go back there.

Our stay in Shinjuku was nothing short of magical.

Our stay in Shinjuku was nothing short of magical. The energy of the neighborhood was infectious, with its buzzing streets, neon lights, and unbeatable convenience. We loved how close we were to the train station—it made getting around Tokyo incredibly easy and gave us the freedom to explore far and wide. One of the highlights was wandering through the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace. The serene beauty of the gardens offered a peaceful contrast to the city’s fast pace. In Akihabara, we dove headfirst into Tokyo’s tech and anime culture, surrounded by quirky shops, dazzling lights, and an overwhelming sense of fun. For meals, Omoide Yokocho stole our hearts (and stomachs). The smoky alleys and sizzling grills made every bite an adventure. We capped off the night in Golden Gai, squeezing into one of the tiny, charming bars for a late-night drink—it felt like stepping into another world. Tokyo is a sensory feast, and every moment brought something new and unforgettable. There’s so much to do, see, and taste—we’re already dreaming of the next trip back.

A Blend of Efficiency and Courtesy

A Blend of Efficiency and Courtesy This city presents itself with remarkable cleanliness, a standard consistently upheld throughout its public spaces. The local populace consistently demonstrates a high degree of politeness and courtesy, contributing significantly to a welcoming atmosphere. The public transportation system, while initially appearing complex, proves to be quite manageable once understood, offering efficient transit options. Interactions with individuals providing assistance, particularly those encountered in station retail establishments, were consistently met with enthusiasm and helpfulness. Taxi services are notable for their cleanliness, ready availability, and fares that are more reasonable than often suggested by common commentary. Overall, the city imparts a strong sense of safety, further enhanced by an observable and inspiring system based on honesty and trust.

We were in Tokyo to attend a conference but still managed to do some sightseeing. The Japanese are very respectful, helpful people and Tokyo (in fact Japan in general) is a safe place to travel. As a female I didn't feel uncomfortable sightseeing by myself. The subway is excellent and pretty easy to get the hang of. There is so much to see in the way of culture but also the modern side to the city. Some of my highlights were Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, Shibuya area, Shinjuku area.

Location was great, especially for those exploring Shinjuku/Shibuya. Very vibrant nightlife. The hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Stayed in a standard double room -- non-smoking. My husband and I thought the room was a perfect size for us. This is not always the case being an American traveler in Japan, as Japan's hotel rooms are much smaller.
