The Ladies at the front desk were the best. We had traveled all night so we were going on 24 hours of no sleep. We came in at 9 am and were going to have them hold our luggage till we could check in, but they said our rooms were ready. This was so nice as we could take a quick nap to carry us thorough the day. They continued to be so accommodating throughout the whole stay. Thanks so much!

Renowned for its stunning architecture and the world’s largest fair, Oktoberfest, Munich needs little introduction. Its vibrant cultural scene, great shopping and fantastic museums speak for themselves.
Munich has something for everyone: from historic palaces and castles, to stunning royal avenues to world class galleries and museums. Don't miss the new city hall, or Glockenspiel, in the heart of Marienplatz or the former residence of the Bavarian kings, the Residenz. Munich is also home to the world’s most famous beer hall, the Hofbräuhaus.
For great shopping, Karlsplatz is a pedestrian zone which takes up much of the city centre and the upscale area around Maximilianstrasse is yet another commercial wonderland. Munich is famous for its food too, so make sure you try the local Weißwurst, Leberkässemmeln and other popular pork dishes.
Thanks to efficient S-Bahn train, getting to the city center from Germany’s second busiest airport, Munich International Airport is quick and easy. Whether you’re looking for luxury hotels, youth hostels or comfortable apartments, Booking.com has the perfect accommodation for your Munich visit.

I was very dissapointed with the amount of beggars that were allowed to harrass people on the streets and leave litter.
The police were in evidence but didn't make them move on.
The streets were very clean in the City Centre, there was so many restaurants and we ate very well the portions were very large good value for money
Bus/Tram service was excellent

I speak German, and have in-laws and friends in Munich, so my experience might be different. I would avoid Oktoberfest, but that's because I've been there. Hotel prices will be through the roof, and it will be crowded.
The city is amazing. If you don't like crowds, just choose times before they arrive. If you don't like the city, the countryside is not far away.
Central Munich is easy to walk around, just a few hills. The central railway station area is not as run down as that of other cities.
The airport is international, but pleasant and efficient. I find that the arrival/departure from a city has a large bearing on my mood.
Munich isn't cheap, but it's not expensive. A gem of a city.
PS: Watch out for bicycles!

A beautiful Bavarian city with lots of historical places to visit. The best part is the public transport which is very good for group travelling in terms of prices, especially day group card for 2-5 people. Most of Munich’s public facilities like luggage lockers, toilets etc are still coin operated which is very inconvenient for tourists who do not carry local coins with them.

Location was excellent - less than 5 min walk to Munich hbf
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Our room was lovely, comfortable bed, great bathroom with good quality toiletries, excellent AC, faced courtyard and was really quiet at night.
Complimentary tea, coffee, water and fruit available in lobby which was a lovely touch.
Excellent Italian and bakery across the road.
Would recommend King's Hotel for a city centre stay within easy walking distance of all historical sites, museums etc.
we absolutely loved it. the room was beautiful, with such an attention to detail, very clean, close to the city centre.
the staff were very friendly and helpful.
i love the idea of the hotel being like an alpine lodge in the middle of munich.
the breakfast option for vegans was a bit limited but the food was so fresh.
if you have a very big car you might struggle to fit to the car park
Excellent location and very quiet yet central to everything I wanted in the city centre. The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful. I loved the quirkiness of the room, although the single beds are narrow and took a bit of getting used to. I'll stay here again when I return to Munich.
The hotel is in quiet, beautiful part of Munich, good connected with city centre by train system. The staff are super friendly and just too willing to assist with anything. Good breakfast.
Very modern hotel in an excellent location in Munich City Centre. Check in and out of the hotel was very smooth. Rooms were well equiped, nice bathrooms and very comfortable beds.
