The Standard, Huruvalhi Maldives is a unique blend of relaxation, socializing, and adventure, perfect for a romantic escape, a getaway with friends, or a family vacation. Each of our 115 villas, some overwater or settled on the beachfront, has its own private lounge deck and plunge pool. Spend your days exploring the natural beauty of the island, with activities like snorkeling in our protected house reef, boating, deep diving, and more. Relax and refresh with luxe spa treatments at The Standard Spa, complete with a communal hammam, aroma steam room, yoga schedule, and nine private treatment rooms. From morning to evening, nourish and refuel at a variety of dining options, from our all-day dining spot Kula to our beachside BBQ Shak or our authentic Maldivian overwater restaurant Guduguda. Then end the night in our overwater glass-floored nightclub Beru Bar where we host karaoke, movie nights, cocktail-mixing classes, and more. I recently stayed at The Standard in the Maldives with my family for a week, and it was an absolutely amazing experience filled with exceptional service and genuine hospitality. A special shout-out to Bassu from The Standard lounge at Male airport, who ensured our comfort and well-being from the moment we arrived. Salty (Instagram: @salty_hoho) took us on a fantastic snorkeling adventure with turtles and was incredibly patient with our children, even lending them life vests for more snorkeling at the resort. Chetan, the security personnel at the supply jetty, impressed us by turning our initial disappointing snorkeling experience into an entertaining spectacle for the kids with some bread and fish feeding. Our excursions with Hanim, including dolphin watching and night fishing, were unforgettable, thanks to his professionalism and patience. He even accommodated our kids when they felt seasick. Sanjay, the chef in the main kitchen, deserves special recognition for his mouthwatering 10/10 Butter Chicken lunch, which should definitely be on the menu. And last but not least, Prasanna, the Sous Chef of the resort, wowed us with a delicious off-menu Thai Chicken Curry. His culinary skills and willingness to accommodate our requests truly made our dining experience special. In conclusion, our stay at The Standard Maldives was truly memorable, thanks to these exceptional individuals. The resort's commitment to guest satisfaction is commendable, and we can't wait to return.

The rooms at the resort are equipped with a seating area, a flat-screen LED TV with cable channels and a private bathroom with free toiletries and a bath or shower. All rooms have a kettle and a desk. Sunrise/sunset can be viewed from the spacious balcony/terrace of the rooms. The Maldives was an ultimate dream for me, so this is why my husband and I decided to spend our honeymoon here. I had my doubts but oh my god, this is truly a paradise. 1. Location Only 45 minutes away from Male. I believe this is important in terms of how long you want to spend in the boat. I didn’t want a place too close to Male, but too long destination would make me nervous too. So, in terms of location 10/10. Also, there is amazing coral reef where we saw 2 turtles, mini sharks, dozen of other beautiful fish. 2. Privacy I believe the main reason why Maldives is so successful is the privacy you get. I have never felt this privilege to be completely alone. I didn’t see my neighbors (except for dinner and breakfast). I really enjoyed the silence of my villa. 3. Staff These people are simply the best. I feel if I ask for the moon, they will find a way to give it to me. The island is small, the staff has more people than guests, so everyone knows you. That’s perfect 4. Food Amazing food. 5. Drinks I enjoyed cocktails a lot. They never missed. Prices from 12 to 18. And they can mix anything you like. 6. Nature Absolutely breathtaking nature, both underwater and tropical. 7. Extra Almost every evening we had something to do: the musicians and bands visited us couple times, there are pool, tennis, pingping, volleyball and other activities. Snorkeling is an absolute must!

Facing the beachfront, Furaveri Maldives - COMPLIMENTARY ROUND-TRIP SEAPLANE TRANSFER for two for a minimum of 5 nights or more from May 1st to October 31st, 2025 offers 5-star accommodation in Raa Atoll and features a garden, private beach area and shared lounge. Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, room service and a 24-hour front desk, along with free WiFi. The resort provides an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre, karaoke and a kids' club. The island is very nice and beautiful and well maintained by the stuff. Furaveri has a great house reef for a very good snorkeling experience (specially next to the Dhoni Pool Villas). You can easily swim to the end of the reef where the sea drops down and the color of the sea turns from light blue to dark blue and your can see hundreds of fishes of different variants. We also did a Turtle Snorkeling trip which was amazing. We could see several sea turtles coming next to us. The dolphin sunset cruise trip was also nice and we have seen some dolphins. The sand of the island is fantastic, like powdered sugar and really white but it was not hot in the sun you can easily walk on it. The Dhoni Beach Pool Villa we had was overwhelming. The service on Furaveri was also brilliant, specially we want to mention Ayu. She gave us a warm welcome but also was always there to help and did everything she could to let us feel comfortable and make our stay unforgettable. 10 stars for Ayu. :-) Furthermore we want to mention Monir from housekeeping, he made often really nice bed decorations etc. Rajesh from the bar was also one of our favorites and did a really good service. Same applies to Suleiman, who was our waiter at the restaurant. Thank you very much to the Furaveri staff specially to Ayu.

The Royal Island Resort & Spa is a 30-minute wheeled aircraft ride from Malé International Airport. A mandatory transfer is provided by the resort, and charges are to be paid upon arrival. The hotel is quite old, but it is clean, stuff is great, food is wonderful! The reef is really great, saw there a lot of sharks, turtles, rays, thousands of different fishes and even dolphins came two times right to the edge of reef in front of our villa. The sunset villa is the best location, because there is the best beach and the most interesting part of the reef. Definitely recommend. May be it is not a modern hotel, but alll the rest is great.
