Absolutely wonderful hotel. Location is easy to reach from all sights on foot. The area with many shops and places to eat is just a minute away. Easy automated check-in and check-out. Super clean rooms with all necessary facilities. Unbeatable price.

This hotel is in good location near the Kyoto train station. A few good eateries near it, but make reservations ahead of time or you will not get in. The breakfast buffet was good. It would be good if they could change up the dishes offered daily.

Probably the place that you must visit when visiting Japan.
Probably the place that you must visit when visiting Japan. Apart from countless traditional temples you also have a great market and also vibrant "Geiko" district. The city is well conected to the airport and also to Nara, Uji, Osaka,... so it is also great for a one day trips.

A quiet and slow-paced city that is very easy to get around on foot, bicycle and public transport. Many beautiful old buildings, streets, temples like the Kinkakuji Temple. Although the narrow streets around the Kiyomizu-dera Temple and Gion can be slow to walk due to the crowds as was Fishimi Inari Taisha. I was lucky to see a few Geishas in Gion area in the evenings. Lovely and tranquil forest and bamboo walks early in the morning and cherry blossoms.

Really lovely area, wish we stayed longer.
Really lovely area, wish we stayed longer. The prices seem to be a bit more pricy than what we were used to in Tokyo but very worth! Unfortunately found that many shops and restaurants close quite early.

Kyoto is an amazing city and a must see.
Kyoto is an amazing city and a must see. So much history and beauty. Quieter than Tokyo but still busy. Loved it. Most everything is walkable except for some of the temples and gardens but public transportation is easy.

Love Kyoto and there is so much to do in and around.
Love Kyoto and there is so much to do in and around. As well as the well known attractions of Kiyomizu-dera, Gion, Fushimi Inari and Nanzen-ji, there are a few hidden gems - whilst it is a bit of a trek for just one temple, I think that Kinkaku-ji is worth the effort. Also, the little mentioned To-ji temple is well worth a visit where you can see the tallest wooden pagoda in Japan set in lovely gardens and visit the Kondo hall with many buddha statues. If you have time to get out of the city, Kurama and Kifune are easy to access by train and offer a welcome break from the crowds

We really liked our stay at Kinparo.
The staff was very friendly (even if not all of them speak English very well, they did their best to meet your needs).
Every evening the futons were made ready for us. First time for us sleeping in a Ryokan and we found it more comfortable than we thought!
Overall, it was a very special experience.
The location of the hotel is great, literally two steps from the market. Also, walking distance from the station and pretty much from all sites in Gion.
This was an exceptional hotel. It was probably the most thoughtful hotel I've stayed where everything was perfectly presented or provided. Yes it's not 5 stars but it just got all of the amenities and basics so completely correct that I just feel this is the best complete showing for a hotel I've ever experienced. Ah.. I miss kyoto!
This was my third time staying at this hotel and it's still the best I've stayed in while visiting Japan.
Service from all staff is excellent! The rooms are also the cleanest I've seen.
You can walk between the hotel and Kyoto station underground. Great when the weather is bad or if it's really hot outside.
The room is quite spacious. The location is very convenient close to bus stops and walking distance to Shijo Station, plus supermartket nearby is super convenient.
We loves the matcha latte provided at the hotel, one of the best.
The staff are friendly and helpful.
Best place we have stayed at while travelling around Japan. The rooms are a decent size, it’s a beautiful hotel in a very good location close to Gion and train stations. Fabulous breakfast including wagyu steak!
