FAQs about hotels in Ibiza
An island of surprises
Even though it's famous for fantastic clubbing, Ibiza is so much more and makes a surprisingly good family destination. Booking.com’s range of apartments, B&Bs and hotels in Ibiza cover all types of vacation. The main nightlife is centered around San Antonio, where superclubs Es Paradis and Eden only kick off after midnight. Playa d’en Bossa also has amazing clubs including Space, which attracts big-name DJs year after year. Nearby Ibiza Town (or Eivissa) is the island’s capital, and although it has its fair share of bars and restaurants, the feel is more laid back. The cobbled streets in its walled Old Town, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, provide some shade from the Spanish sun. Along the coast is Santa Eulalia del Rio, a much more exclusive resort where the marina is lined with expensive yachts. However, the best family hotels in Ibiza are in northern resorts like Portinatx and Port de San Miguel. Here, crystal-clear waters lap sandy beaches hidden in rocky coves. The scenery is simply stunning and the vibe couldn’t be more different from down south. Inland, Ibiza still retains much of its original character. Renting a bike is a great way to explore sleepy villages like Santa Agnès and San Rafael, though be warned: some of the terrain can be tricky!

It is a great combination of happening place, quaint local charm and plenty of super food, bars, shops and services. All very walkable. We used it as a base to explore all over the island with a rental car. Well worth it if you rent from one of the off airport local companies. Very inexpensive!Guest review byAnonymous - Review score

The couple of squares in the town are the cheapest for drinking as it was mainly locals. I have been a few times before, however this time they were doing renovation works to the harbour area, which was disappointing as we could not sit there as it was too noisy. The streets are lovely though with little shops and old style properties.Guest review byHelenUnited Kingdom - Review score

Staying in Playa d'en Bossa is great if your idea is to go clubbing and bars at night. It makes it easier to everything walking distance. However, if your trip also is for relaxing purposes or with family, I would rather choose another area of Ibiza and less expensive as well.Guest review byAngelaNetherlands - Review score
Ibiza has its reputation as the party capital of the world...
Ibiza has its reputation as the party capital of the world but you can make it a crazy mad one or a peaceful quiet one. I was somewhere in between. I chose the hotel because it is far away enough from the noise but close enough to walk the coastal path and it is safe to do so after midnight. Bus stop one minute from the hotel goes direct to the airport! No 9 and takes about 45 minutes and costs four euro. From my hotel Pikes is about ten minutes by cab. Boat trips are from the port which is about 30 minutes walk. If you have a head for heights, solid (but empty) stomach, try why I call the sling slot - bungie straps attached to a chair and catapults you into the air. Stags and hens will always be present but none were ever excessive, in fact as a solo traveller they wanted to look after me and join their groups. Loads of ATMs but some might charge. Pick a spot to grab the sunset.Guest review byPatriciaUnited Kingdom - Review score
Lots of choice for restaurants in town.
Lots of choice for restaurants in town. Laid-back atmosphere. Felt safe. Lots of family activity in town centre. Bus station handy for getting round island. Seemed to be an issue with sunbeds/parasols on the beach. Apparently local authority haven't issued licenses so no beds on Santa Eularia beach (May18-25 2025).Guest review byPaulUnited Kingdom - Review score
Lovely resort!
Lovely resort! Small and walkable, with plenty of choice in terms of hotels and restaurants. This is a quieter resort than other areas of Ibiza and therefore geared towards families and older people, or those just looking for a quiet escape away from the big clubs. The beach is lovely, with plenty of sunbeds, and a few nice beach bars lining the bay. Solimar restaurant is a nice place to eat, and Charlie's bar has a great vibe in the evening. The ferry is a good option to take you places like Formentera, Santa Eulalia, or Ibiza Town - but there are also bus connections.Guest review byPegler - Review score

Close to the ferry terminal, and also close to transportation to the old town. The City Boat ferry is very convenient but be careful - there are 4 ferries and you need to ensure you take the Talamanca ferry from the old town, otherwise you will be heading in the opposite direction.Guest review byScottUnited States - Review score

I spent four days in Portinatx at the beginning of April, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The views were breathtaking – picturesque coves, crystal-clear water, and beautiful natural surroundings created a truly magical atmosphere. One of the best things was how peaceful it was – there weren’t many people around, which made it the perfect place to relax and recharge. Portinatx at this time of year is ideal for anyone looking for tranquility and a break from the everyday rush. The weather was also perfect – warm but not too hot, which made it great for exploring and going on walks around the area. It’s definitely the best time to discover the beauty of Ibiza without the crowds and noise of high season. I highly recommend Portinatx to anyone dreaming of a quiet getaway in a stunning setting.Guest review byAnonymous - Review score
