The room was very clean and looked the same as the pictures. It’s simple but good value when compared with other places in a similar price range. Perfect if you don’t want to spend too much but still want to stay somewhere comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. We rented a motorbike from the hotel and they organized a taxi to pick us up from the airport and the prices for both were fair.

The staff was amazing and made my stay so so lovely! I arrived very early and they upgraded my room for free to accommodate me showing up at 8 am. I needed to move the next day but I went out for the day and they moved everything for me. They helped organize a scooter, and airport transportation very early in the morning. They even woke up at 4:30 am to make sure I was up to catch my flight. Such lovely people. You need to stay here if you visit Con Doa.

    A lovely hotel in Con Son. We had a corner suite, which was very nice. The hotel is a couple of minutes walk from the beach. The owner speaks good English. We were able to rent a motorbike from her, which is a must for exploring the island. We would definitely come back here.

    We spent 4 days in Con Dao, which was great .Each day we went off ( motorcycle) and looked at the “ things to see” . The prison complexes take a good half a day to look at , as there are about 7 sections,in total .We often spent half a day out n about , each day . Overall Con Dao was beautifulI Its a,45 minute flight out of Saigon . We could of stayed a week there easily

    4-5 days on Con Dao is enough time to enjoy walking trails in the rainforest and check out the beaches as well as enjoy the sunset and a boat trip to one of the smaller islands - also some great restaurants in town - Madame Ha - gets my vote as best restaurant 2025 . I have stayed here for 2 weeks in the past during the month of November - fantastic weather - if windy or rainy perhaps 3-4 days . I would NOT go all the way over there - by ferry / plane for only 2 days

    Had Con Dao on my bucket list and was not disappointed.

    Had Con Dao on my bucket list and was not disappointed. In fact it would be one of my favourite places to visit in Vietnam. It is a compact island with some of the best engineered roads you will find, serving tourists and a small local population around 10 000 people, making riding a hired scooter a safe and efficient way to travel. A large area is designated National Park, embracing both land and sea reserves. Large tract of bush and special reserves where you can see turtles and dudongs, in season. Despite its dark history the people are generally very relaxed and friendly. There are good options for casual dining and the night market specialises in fresh seafood. Visits to the museum, the colonial governors' residence and the French and American prisons are recommended. There are wonderful trails to hike ; be safe wear good footwear, take water and snacks and beware of optimistic distance signage ; it may be further than you think !

    Con Dao is the perfect escape if you don't want crowds or tourist built up areas. If you don't want a beach holiday or relaxing slow paced life, don't go here. Perfect for kids, lots of beaches and sand and wildlife for then to see and great boat trips

    I’m torn between reporting how beautiful this place is and a desire to see it not overrun with people 😬 The history here is so sad & tragic and yet in the last 50 years it has transformed to a most amazing retreat.

    The location was so gorgeous and even better than we expected with the location being right at the beach. Soft sand and coconut trees framing the Chrystal clear water and beautiful warm sea. The staff were amazing and so attentive,drinks and food were good and free breakfast too. We were able to hire a motorbike directly at reception and it was cheap and reliable and the room was just what we needed with a fridge and good A/C as it was hot weather. Only down side was the the bathroom may have needed the tap fixing and the shower bracket fixing so a wee upgrade may help and we needed cups and spoons for making coffee so it would have been nice to have some cutlery,cups,plates and water glasses. Would definitely recommend it as it felt really authentic and great location. The local night market was interesting for food and some great places close by. Such a beautiful island and super clean beaches with not alot of tourism which made it feel authentic and the scuba diving was beautiful with lots of gorgeous hard coral

    For us, it was the perfect accommodation on Côn Đảo, as it is away from the main town and the larger hotels, allowing you to discover local life and restaurants. The hosts Trinh and Hai are attentive and helpful. We were able to rent a scooter through them and received great tips on what to discover on the island. Trinh recommended and booked the best weather day for the snorkeling trip. We really enjoyed the breakfast. The ginger tea, coconut coffee and fruit bowls were very tasty.

    The Mystery Con Dao is a fabulous hotel in a perfect location to discover the island. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the roof top bar and pool is a perfect place to chill out.Breakfast is plentiful and the whole place is very clean indeed. We had a beautiful room with a balcony which I would highly recommend booking for a little extra.

    The location is superb, walking distance to the beach and lots of shops, restaurants, markets, and seafood market. The hotel staff also gave me a bike for rent to explore the whole beautiful island and other beaches. Also the hotel ordered me an airport shuttle bus which is a lot better price than the local taxis.

    This hotel is simply perfect! The most of the most is the owner and the staff: extremely nice, attentive and helpful and always available. The room is also big enough and clean. Really quiet place. We rented a scooter directly from the hotel which made it perfect to discover the island. I strongly recommend.

    Very nice and helpful staff, best beds we had in VN. Good location close to the Beach, Recommodation room with balcony and Seaview, very good Vietnamese breakfast. Wifi mostly good working, we got a new scooter for rent, the pool on the roof small but clean.
