It was a wonderful island to visit. So peaceful and serene. No cars or motorbikes on the island. Only horse and cart and bicycle and electric scooters. Very easy to get around, you can hire a pushbike ride around the island which will take an hour. Plenty of bars, restaurants, and live music. Gili T is great for diving and snorkelling. I would’ve like to stay another couple of days to do a bit more diving and snorkelling. There’s so much to see and so much marine life to enjoy. I was a bit disappointed in how much rubbish and filth is laying around the island though. It’s very sad to see, this island could be paradise if it weren’t how poorly it is treated, probably by tourists I assume. I absolutely loved my stay at Gili Trawangan, I am so glad I ended up by visiting to see what it was like. This will be my go to spot every time I visit Bali in the future. The scenery is beautiful, the people and ambience are just wonderful. Transport and options of activities are easy to access and organise, I felt so relaxed and at home the entire time. Was a perfect balance for me having the option of nightlife but also just being able to relax and enjoy all the simple things Gili had to offer. There are a lot of stones on the beaches, but the good part is that they are free to access. If you want to use a sunbed, you can sit at one of the beach cafés by spending some money there.
