I bought the land on the south side of Gili Asahan 15 years ago and have been familiar with this area for almost 20 years. I used to go to Gili Nangu; Pak Edy and his family were the first to start tourist activities in this part of the archipelago.
I love the islands and nearby main land for its isolation and wildness.
The incredible nature on land and under water was what attracted me at the time and luckily it is still very well preserved. White sand beaches with crystal clear water and the large variety of fish still fascinates me every time I return to Gili Asahan. Thanks to the very slow development in the past years it is still a very quiet and unique region and holiday destination that attracts a very specific kind of tourists.
For the past years I enjoyed many beautiful holidays with friends and family on my land sleeping in simple bales and using an improvised bathroom, no electricity or running water. It has always been this simplicity that made everybody enjoy the island so much. The food tastes better, the traditional shower feels more refreshing and the stars are brighter.

We want our clients to live the land as we lived it when the dream began many years ago, to come to disconnect from the chaos of the cities and connect to the flow of nature. We strive to give you an authentic experience by using local building materials and techniques and blending it with modern yet simple comforts.
Our Bungalows and Bales are built mostly with natural and repurposed materials to fulfill all your needs.

Located in the south west of Lombok Gili Asahan is one of the least populated of the secret Gilis in the archipelago. This slowly developing, quiet and unique region is still as isolated and wild as it was 15 years ago when the founder of the lodge first acquired the land. With breathtaking displays of nature both on land and underwater this island paradise is the perfect holiday destination for anyone seeking a tranquil place to step away from the stresses of daily life.
Still wild and rooted in its culture Gili Asahan is a beautiful small pearl in the sea. You can walk around the island in about 2 hours (circumference 5 km) and find everything from hills to beaches, valleys and fields. Populated mostly by fishermen and farmers the locals are humble and friendly folk and will welcome you with a smile. The small village is located not far from the lodge; there you will find the typical daily Indonesian life unfolding before you. Surrounded by pristine seas Gili Asahan is truly a hidden treasure.
