Featuring a Paddies and a terrace,Kuwarasan A Pramana Experience is located in Ubud, 5.6 mi from Ubud Market and 5.6 mi from Ubud Palace.

This was without exaggeration the most amazing resort I’ve ever been to. The hospitality of the staff and the quality of service was exceptional. The breakfast felt like a Michelin star restaurant, there are a lot of options and all of them absolutely delicious. The room is prepared twice a day, I especially liked how they prepare the room for sleep. The spa experience is just dreamlike. The staff welcomes you when you arrive with a kind gesture and everyday when you get back from your adventures they ask about your day with genuine curiosity. If you stay in you can relax at the pool where they serve you drinks and food at your sunbed or in the water. All in all this place is perfect, and everyone who visits Ubud, must stay here.

Welcoming guests with an outdoor swimming pool, Blue Karma dijiwa Ubud is located in central Ubud. It houses a 24-hour front desk, a tropical garden and a restaurant. Free WiFi is available...

I had a lovely stay at this beautiful property — it’s incredibly peaceful and quiet, perfect for unwinding. Getting to Ubud city center was super easy (I used Grab bikes), and while I didn’t use the free shuttle, it’s a great perk for those who want a hassle-free ride into town. The bed was so comfortable — I slept like a dream! I also appreciated the twice-daily room maintenance, including a nice turndown service in the evening. Breakfast was a real standout — absolutely incredible. I couldn’t get enough of the granola bowl and tofu scramble. I also had dinner at the on-site restaurant, The Botanist, which was delicious and super convenient when I wanted a relaxed night in.

FAQs about hotels in Ubud

Bali's Peaceful Retreat

If you are seeking a hideaway from Bali’s chaotic Kuta, Ubud provides a welcome respite with its secluded paths, calming temples and specialised spa resorts. Surrounded by rice paddies, coconut trees and lush forests of green, Ubud is seen as the cultural centre of Bali.

The road leading up to Ubud features little villages specialising in handicrafts like Celuk (silver jewellery), Batuan (paintings) and Mas (wood carvings). Ubud, itself, produces all sorts of handicrafts in its peaceful foothills. There are also numerous art galleries, workshops and courses on offer for the budding artist.

The Monkey Forest is a popular tourist drawcard with its ravenous monkey population lunging at anything resembling food. The 9th-century Goa Gajah, or Elephant Cave, showcases the island’s historic past and there is the regular Ubud Market for modern-day souvenir hunters.

Ubud is a place for relaxation and many yoga and meditation centres have developed over the years on Indonesia’s most popular island. Booking.com offers a range of guest houses, villas, bungalows and world-class resorts with spa facilities or pool.

Ubud is a great base to explore Bali, if you are not looking for a beach holiday. Lots of temples to see and a couple of world class art museums - ARMA and Neka with a fantastic mixture of modern and traditional Balinese art. You can book a car and driver for the day for US$40 and that opens up lots of possibilities - Bali Zoo, Bird park, stone, mask and wood carving workshops, other temples and the lovely Lake Batur. We had a car for 4 days and that worked really well. Group your activities south, or north of Ubud, as traffic through the city is very busy and always slow. Ubud has lots of excellent restaurants, as well as craft stalls and lots of small shops. We stayed for 10 days at Dewanggha Ubud, which was an excellent base close to the town centre

Ubud is not ubud, very sad.

Ubud is not ubud, very sad. They claim much money from you for service but the result is a flop. More money, but less maintenance of the amenities and the buildings. They are in ruined, I think they should be preserved as patrimonial assets. Tourists are attacked by Javanese and the Government did nothing. Wake up!!!!

Was worried that it would have changed too much since precovid. It is much busier and aimed at rich tourists with all the food choices but still has a wonderful feel as so much of it is authentic. The traffic has increased but if you allow for that you can still find out of the way places and lovely people.

Accommodation is close to Ubud Palace, shopping markets, spas, cafes/restaurants, meeting points for tours. Ubud is busy with tourists and taxis but there is so much to do and see. I booked tours online to suit my interests: cooking class and firefly tour, batik class, making silver ring class, water purification at Tirta Empul. Also organised motorbike taxi to go to Elephant Temple, Monkey Forest, local markets and Tegenungan Waterfall.

Ubud is, without a doubt, one of the most special places...

Ubud is, without a doubt, one of the most special places I’ve ever visited. It’s a perfect mix of natural beauty, spiritual atmosphere, rich culture, and kind-hearted people. Surrounded by lush rice fields, waterfalls, temples, and forested hills, Ubud offers a sense of peace that’s hard to describe. The city has a vibrant soul — from the local markets and traditional dance shows to the incredible food, yoga retreats, and art galleries. Every corner feels alive and inspiring. And the people… so friendly, warm, and welcoming. You feel safe, seen, and respected. Ubud is not just a destination, it’s a feeling — and once you experience it, you’ll want to come back again and again. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for relaxation, culture, connection with nature, and inner peace.

Ubud is a busy centre of shopping is your thing but you can...

Ubud is a busy centre of shopping is your thing but you can get away from Main Street and the market ( ‘a living hell’ of tourist tat) and walk the side streets for more calm and nicer shops and genuine Balinese purchases. The water temple and palace are worth a visit but lots of traffic, road works and repairs right now. Use a Grab scooter to get a ride wherever you need to go (I chose XL for a little more comfort) as it’s easier than a car but just walk around the centre. Lots of nice places to eat if you get away from the tourist traps on the Main Street.

We enjoyed our stay so much. We had a villa with private pool which was so relaxing. The staff are wonderful and would go out of their way to help and accommodate your needs. Breakfast was delicious. We appreciated the kitchen accommodating my daughters “off menu” requests for breakfast. The hotel is close to monkey forest so be aware that there are monkeys that like to visit in the afternoons. We found this, part of the overall charm. The day spa is also amazing. Overall, we loved our stay here and will definitely be back!

I am very satisfied and will book at Ibah next time again. One of Ubud's best hotels in my opinion and I have lived at most of their competitors.
