The Pool Villa comes with a small private pool, which is a nice extra for anyone who enjoys a bit of privacy. The location on Koh Samui is peaceful and quiet, even with a nearby club or resort. It’s a calm place to relax. The main pool at the resort is beautiful and spacious — a lovely spot to unwind, with comfortable seating. Breakfast was good as well, especially the fresh fruit, which we really appreciated. Some staff members were very friendly and helpful, and that made a positive difference during our stay.

Their check in time closes at 6, so if you check in later, they have separate instructions for you. Location is fine, lots to do. Full moon party speedboat transfer was a 7 minute walk. Airport is close enough (10-15 mins). Room was very clean and spacious. Either the other guests were very quiet or the rooms are thick enough where you don’t hear everybody. Full balcony outside.

Cascade Tara is a peaceful oasis tucked into the natural beauty of Koh Samui. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the calm and serenity of the place. It’s a bit removed from town, but that’s part of its charm—you come here to slow down, breathe, and really take in your surroundings. One of the most magical moments happened at 8:30 am, when I stood on the alley and watched a group of elephants cross the road right in front of me. That’s because the hotel sits right next to an elephant sanctuary, adding a truly unique and moving experience to your stay. The hotel itself offers so much more than just a place to sleep. There's a peaceful meditation area tucked away in the woods, a fun mini-golf course, a well-equipped game room, and a beautiful pool that's perfect for relaxing.     Chaweng is a beautiful destination for a chill out holiday The Jungle Tour is definitely worth doing & don't be afraid to barter the price Lots of eateries with great selection of food to choose from Fishermans Market is very pretty at night & there are bargains to be had If you hire a car or scooter - by careful if you like to dabble in the Green because the Police will pull you over & you will get a hefty fine - not worth it - grab a taxi or the local rides (which are cheap)

    Really easy to get around, great bars and restaurant's beaches are excellent, lots of massage places, a visit to the night market is a must for cheap food options. Shop around for gifts and the shops are willing to barter on some goods.

    The Fisherman's Village was fantastic.

    The Fisherman's Village was fantastic. No car or scooter access at night made for lovely walks along the street, seeing the markets and bars and restaurants in relative peace. Plus none of the typical sleazy Thai bars/clubs.

    Mae Nam doesn’t have the best beach, and is a busy area. We have been to several areas of Thailand, and we found Koh Samui in general to be very busy and not that well maintained considering it is such a popular tourist island. There is no doubt that Fisherman’s Village is a very popular town, but it is very touristy and lacks the relaxed Thai experience that we are looking for.

    This is a great tourist destination.

    This is a great tourist destination. Glad we went during the low-season as it made for small, tolerable crowds. Plenty of activities and sights to do and see - we only brushed the surface with our short time there. Go for at least one week. Two would be better. The surrounding Gulf of Thailand offered lake-like calm, turquoise waters. Views everywhere are stunning. We Weill have to return again in the future. Highly recommend, especially the low-season.

    There are only two bungalows facing the beach and they are AMAZING!! We did not want to leave our hotel. Some of the other rooms looked nice too but faced the garden walkway. One bungalow faced a concrete wall. You get what you pay for. Loved this place so much.

    Chaweng Noi Beach was one of my favorite spots on Koh Samui. It’s incredibly beautiful — soft white sand, calm turquoise water, and a peaceful atmosphere that feels like a little escape from the busier parts of the island. I loved how quiet and relaxed it was, perfect for swimming or just lying under the sun. The view with the green hills around was stunning. That said, it’s not the best during low tide — the rocks and coral can make it tricky to get in the water. Also, there’s not much going on nearby in terms of shops or nightlife, and some areas can get a bit pricey because of the luxury resorts. Still, for a calm beach day with amazing views, I’d go back in a heartbeat.

    we were lucky with the weather (we stayed there off season), the whole experience was amazing! good restaurants, activities,parties and all. whether you come with a group of friends (as we did) or as a family with kids, you'll find loads of things to do!

    Loved our room! It was very spacious,clean & comfortable. The bed and pillows met our expectations. The pool was huge! Great for children or grown ups. A very ambient,quiet resort set on the beach front. The beach chairs are very comfortable and the best place to chill with a book or take in the amazing views. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The location is very peaceful and we ordered a taxi or grab to go to dinner in the evening. We had drinks at the Hotel pub one evening. Overall a great stay & value for the rates. The breakfast was sufficient …eggs and fresh fruit/toast/pastries. Handy if you have a motor bike to get around the Island as grab is expensive. .
