I had a wonderful stay at the Cube Hotel for over two weeks. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive. The private beach was also very clean and well-maintained. Rooms were clean and big. Pool was clean as well and the restaurant was pretty good !

It’s a brand new hotel. Large spacious rooms walking distance to the pier. I liked having a kettle and brand new a/c. Ringa helped me with so much. My phone was not charging and she actually gave me an apple charger. Also helped me with forwarding money on line. I would have been lost without her.

I've stayed in a lot of cheap hostels around the world. This is one of the worst ones. The good reviews, I can only imagine, are from people who lacked the ability to differentiate between the beauty of Koh Rong Samloem and Saracen Bay and the below average conditions of The Big Easy. It's dirty. I don't expect immaculate cleanliness. My house is kinda messy. The Big Easy is DIRTY. There's mold in the rooms and bathrooms. Dirt and dust (and sand - which is a bit more forgivable) everywhere. Things are falling apart (holes in the walls and ceilings, the hinge on my locker was completely disconnected). There were two bathrooms/showers in the 8-person dorm. The lock on one was broken, making it useless. Some bunks have a shelf, which is good. Others don't, which is bad. Pay $2 and put up a shelf so people can put their phones on it to charge and don't have to put their toothbrush on the floor in the moldy locker. Plus, because they are so shoddily made, many locks won't fit the latch. Only about 6 beach chairs. My dorm had 8 bunks. There are multiple rooms. You see the problem. Some of the staff are foreign volunteers (there are also paid foreigners) - this, of course, takes paid jobs away from locals. One night there was a party until 2AM or so. Beyond making a lot of noise, it was the foreign staff that were up late making a huge mess (empty beer cans and bottles, cigarette butts, trash) and the Cambodians who woke up early to clean it up. Finally, there was a mix up and they thought that I didn't pay for one of my meals that I ate there. Like I would dine and dash at the place that I was staying makes any sense. Staff was decidedly not friendly after that - which was their mistake. Even without this incident, if I were to come back to Saracen Bay, I'd not stay in this hostel. The restaurant was fine. Good, even. Though, I have some concerns about the cleanliness of the kitchen after seeing the rooms.

We stayed here for seven nights and it was a great place to stay for a low price on Saracen Beach. The bungalows are your classic basic bungalow, no air con or other extras, but you have a fan and a mosquito net over the bed. We were asked every two days if we wanted the bungalow cleaned and the sheets/ towels changed, so no problems there. The two fellows that run the place are super friendly and helpful. The fellow that runs the bar is also a nice friendly guy and pours a good beer for a good price. Wifi is available in the restaurant and most of the time available in the bungalow. I hadn’t read anything about the food before I got there, but the lunch sandwiches were huge and tasty and in the evening, the Kymer dishes were delicious! The bungalow is located right by the Eden Pier so you don’t have far to walk if you get off the boat at that pier.

The beach is great for relax and nature exploring. You have several walkways that guide you towards the Sunset beach (a bit steppy but worthy), the Lighthouse (amazing views for just 1$), the carving stones,...)

If you want peace and quiet and chill out every day by the beach in hammocks, go scuba diving for some exceptional marine life and coral viewing, then this is the place for you. Getting around the island could be tough as paved roads are still on the wish list. You have go around in rented motorbikes or tractor mobikes.......Gr8 place none the less.

I loved Paradise Villas on Saracen beach it was the quiet end of the beach. The swimming and relaxing were amazing. The staff and guests are friendly the food great, lots of other restaurants to walk to. You can walk to other beaches or take a boat trip. Very relaxing if you want to get away from it all. The beaches were kept clean and the water was clear lots of fish to see if snorkelling. It's not a party destination. If it's a simple beach holiday you want this is a great destination after rushing around the rest of Cambodia.

Most people here love lying on the beach, and they are everywhere. Instead, I love hiking and there are trails to all of the beaches. Some easy, some challenging. Laguna Resort even has a trail guide if you aren't sure which trail to go on, or if you are worried about getting lost.

I stayed at Mpai Bay, so this review is based on a four night’s stay there with one excursion and independent exploring. Overall, it’s a beautiful island and well worth staying. There’s good snorkelling and swimming all over the island (mostly when taken to prime spots on a boat tour). The restaurants serve a variety of lovely dishes at bargain prices and excursions are really good value. On the downside, there is a lot of rubbish about when you leave the popular areas (discarded and rubbish that has been washed ashore). Sadly, this seems to be the case all over the country.

There are no roads linking the whole island.

There are no roads linking the whole island. If staying in Mpay bay and want to visit other beach or village then a taxi boat at $5/per person each way is needed. $20/couple per day. Saracen beach has roads linking it to Lazy beach and Sunset beach and the Lighthouse. If time permits maybe stay 3 nights Saracen / Sunset Beach, 1 or 2 nights Mpay bay and 3 or 4 nights on Koh Rong island.

Amazing breakfast in the mornings - so nice not to have a buffet style breakfast but instead have good, well prepared options to choose from. Very helpful staff, helped book the ferry, carry your bags from the ferry etc. Good location right next to the pier, great, clean and really well designed rooms, massive comfy beds and lovely outdoor style showers. Plenty of cabanas by the beach so you never feel you're overcrowded. Great beach shower too. Overall just a really nice hotel - a new top spot in Koh Rong Sanloem for me.

Staff were fabulous, friendly and helpful. Bungalows were quiet and at the end of the beach. We were met by the staff from the ferry to carry our bags as the sea was too rough for the hotels little boat to collect us from the pier. The hotel kept the beach clean in front of the hotel whereas other places didn’t and the beach did look dirty in places. Easy walk to Lazy Beach from the resort which was cleaner and nicer for a days R&R. Food in the restaurant was good with plenty of choice on the menu.

The a frame huts provide the essential space for our stay, bed was comfortable the hotel was on the best location on the island, the water and beach was very clean with a jetty to the front, the swimming pool provided fantastic views, also did the restaurant and reception area for a smaller hotel it was well laid out for the best views of the bay. Lazy beach was beautiful, probably a better beach but a 40 minute walk via the road construction of the island

The staff were fantastic. The pool was beautiful and there was always somewhere to sit. The staff were brilliant. Happy hour is at 4 every day which is obviously great fun. We've travelled all over South East asia and this is one of the nicest hotels we've stayed in. Did I mention the staff were amazing? Breakfast was really nice, it makes a nice change from buffet breakfasts. I can't recommend this resort enough, hopefully we'll be back one day soon.

Probably one of the best hostels in Koh Rong Sanloem. Rooms are basic but quite large and comfortable. Warm shower. Restaurant is pretty good with many options but can take a long time. You can book trips and boats through the hostel. Probate rooms are a bit pricey though
