Koh Larn has many beautiful beaches, but does leave you a little dissatisfied if you are wanting to enjoy the night life. The nightlife is pretty nonexistent, at least in the area that we were located. My friend and I were hoping to be able to enjoy in a very lively, fun bar and also go out for the nightlife like a nightclub however, it was very boring and we ended up going back to our accommodation early. If we were aware this is how it would've been on the island, we would have went back to Pattaya when the last ferry left. One positive I can say about the beach is that they did have amazing beach locations that you can visit and it's really hard to be dissatisfied with them. There are also a couple food places that are pretty good close to the pier that I think were really great. My best tip would be if you were going to come to Koh Larn and wanting to have a more lively trip, I would recommend just going to Koh Larn for the day and then head back to the mainland.

The reason I decided to visit this island was that I needed sand and sea, and some relaxation, and a few beers under the palms. And all this near Bangkok. But when I saw the island I was really impressed, and all my warries concerning its location /near Pattaya/ were washed away by the warm waves. Calm and relaxed place. I'll go there again some day.

Easy to get to from central Pattaya Bali Hai Pier.
Easy to get to from central Pattaya Bali Hai Pier. 30 THB on the local ferry boat which takes 35 minutes and drops you on either Taween beach in the north or Na Baan pier in the east, which is the main town area on the island. Alternatively, you can pay 150 THB on a speed boat.
Best to have your own transport. Lots of motorbike / car hire places. Otherwises, there are local buses, and motorcycle taxis to take you around to the main beaches.
There are 7 great beaches to visit. Taween is the biggest, with the most beach activities and facilities, eating options and very busy. We did them all in 2 days. Our favourites were Samae and Tien in the west, (great sunsets), Ta Yai in the North (a hidden gem), and Nual in the south.
Great view points from the hills in the center of the island. There is a temple on the highest hill, beyond the big Budha statue, but there are around 250 steep steps to get up to it, but the view is worth it.
Not the active bar and club night life of Pattaya but very relaxed with great eating and life music in most bars. Prices a little higher than on the mainland but that's to be expected.
A great place for a day trip or overnight stay (we stayed at Xanadu beach resort, on Samae beach) to escape the hustle and bustle of Pattaya. We went back 4 times in two weeks

Some beaches have ALOT of rubbish and needs a scheme where locals and tourists are encouraged to clear up after themselves and help clear up rubbish in exchange for food or drinks or something like that. It really is that bad to the left around the rocks next to Ta Yai Beach.
Also, there shold be quiet zones for people not to be next to groups of people who are over loud which is very annoying when you want to relax and have some peace and just listen to the waves.
There should also be a clear way to get around the island by songthaew via visual infomation/ maps. For people who don't ride motorcycles.
Many cafes and restaurants' staff could be more welcoming. They seem to be miserable and not bothered about the tourists coming back to help their economy.

A trip to Pattaya is not complete without a visit to Koh Larn.
It's a wonderful island which is easy and very cheap to get there.
(The 20 minute ferry crossing costs just 30 baht and a 10 minute ride on a speedboat 150 baht). It's best to go as early as possible before the crowds build up. Be aware that some of the beaches are more crowded than others but these have more facilities.

I have been to this island many times and if you want to see all of it you should rent a motorbike and tour the island there are lots of fabulous beaches and Lookouts and the restaurants are wonderful but don't stay we're l stayed last time because you will be disappointed
The location of the room with a sea view in a fabulous setting.
Clean and spacious room and the hosts were friendly and approachable.
Lovely breakfast and drink options in the room. Amazing patio to sit outside.
Fabulous to offer Netflix on the TV for international programs.
Facility to dry clothing / towels outside.
The area has plenty of shops / clothing/ food and drinks for a fabulous location and easy to access other beaches on Koh Larn Island.
This is really a nice, convenient and relatively clean place. We did however enjoy our stay, as it was an authentic Thai stay, next to a temple and 100 meters away from the night market where there is plenty of cheap street food available. The 7 Eleven is right next to the night market. The beaches are insanely beautiful! There are available taxi's that take you all over the island or if you feel adventurous, you can rent a bike from the property itself
The resort is near Ta Yai beach and Matata Cafe (a 5-7 minute walk I think. It is also a 7-10 minute walk from Nabaan Pier.
During our stay, the staff and owner were very kind and accommodating. Breakfast was good too. It felt like HOME 🏡. They took care of us like a family 👨👩👦👦 Hospitable at its finest 💯
With regards to our room, it was reasonable for the price. Very Thai style if you’d ask me. I LOVED IT ❤️
In 10 years in thailand, the worst hotel. For the price , i was expecting somthing different. Have to change room 3 times !! room dirty, bad smeal, noisy, and there where event ant everywhere in the bed, , the hotel is not maintened, staff are young, not trained, no communiction, the breakfast is also a big joke. dont waste your money on that place
The hotel is 6-7 minutes walking from the main pier and the main cluster of cafes and restaurants on the island. The staff was very helpful despite the fact that they don't speak English. Breakfast was good (eggs, toast, bacon, jam, fresh vegetables). My room was spacious and comfortable. Hot water, good water pressure.
The best of all is the great service and the nice stuff.
Breakfast was also good and made with love.
Western kind with toasts sausages salad coffee and heart eggs.
Room and balcony are big enaugh.
Good cleaning service.
Scooter renting was for us important and possible at the hotel.
Drive carefully in Thailand!
We enjoyed the laid back vibes of the hotel and just give a chill island vibe. The staff was super friendly and always there to assist us with whatever we needed. There were also scooters for rent which was super convenient for us. Breakfast was simple and delicious. 3 min drive from ferry port.
I enjoyed the theme of the hotel. Had like a retro theme with type writers and many outdated tech for display . The room was great , beds comfortable , shower working, spacious and nice balcony view. Host allowed us to check in a bit early.
This location had a good breakfast, it was located close to the beach and in a quiet part of the island away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. The owner was flexible working with us from confusion with the scooter rental situation.
The hotel is in amazing position, close to the floating pier. They have only three suites with sea view, not mine.. very new and quality furniture and appliances. They offer free transport to the pier. Staff was very kind
Beds were very big. Super friendly staff and very helpful. Food was good. Right across the road was a scooter rental. Island beaches were beautiful. Snorkeling was dirt cheap! Only 200 bath!
Reasonable stay in Koh Larn for a reasonable price. The hotel was about a 5 minute walk from the pier so we didn't need to get a taxi - we just walked from the pier to the hotel.
One of the best hotels I have stayed at. Large well appointed room. Deck area had wonderful views. Staff all very helpful and friendly. Martin was very welcoming.
Helpfulness and kindness on booking taxis for us to beaches and anywhere we wanted to go. Made our stay enjoyable and relaxing. Spacious rooms and great location!
Lovely facilities and the included accessories/toiletries.
Scooter is included for free to travel around the island.
Good selection of nearby dining spots.
The view from the property is wonderful, probably one of the best on the island. The interior is quirky, and interesting, done with heart for the property.
