Where to stay in Bangkok – low-budget hotels
Penpark Place
The Penpark Place offers multi-bed rooms as well as deluxe double rooms with prices between € 7 and € 23. The hotel is slightly hidden in a side street of the Samsen Road and is located only a 10 minutes walk away from the Khao San Road or 15 minutes from the Standing Buddha.
Also the Phra Arthit pier for the Chao Phraya Express Boat, which is a good possibility to get to the city or to some famous sights like the Grand Palace or Wat Arun, is only a few minutes away by foot. Totally recommendable for a small budget!

Admire Thonburi Hotel
The Admire Thonburi Hotel is situated near the Wongwian Yai BTS Station. You can find many cheap restaurants in the surrounding areas to get some cheap food and the rooms are very comfortable with air conditioning, TV, free wifi and more. Even the Khao San Road is only a 10 minutes taxi ride away.
The hotel also offers other accommodation facilities in the attached Playground Hostel, where you can meet other travelers during a drink at the bar or some of the hostels activities. Nearby there is the Thonburi Railway Station, which you can take to see something outside of Bangkok with a train ride to the final stop Mahachai.

Ibis Bangkok Riverside
The Ibis Riverside is located at the Chao Phraya River overlooking the Sathorn Pier and the famous Lebua at State Tower with its golden dome. The hotel is a little secluded but offers a free shuttle to the next BTS Skytrain station. Nearby you will also find some restaurants and shopping opportunities.
The rooms are spread over 7 floors and offer air conditioning, free wifi, a refrigerator and partly river views. There is also a nice swimming pool for guests as well as the TASTE restaurant, which offers breakfast and dinner with buffets on special occasions. This Ibis is situated directly in Bangkok, but still a quiet and relaxing choice.

At Mind Executive Suites
The At Mind Executive Suites hotel is hidden in a side street of the Sukhumvit Road, just a few minutes walk from the On Nut BTS Station. The modern rooms are all equipped with air conditioning, refrigerator, TV, free wifi and a balcony. For a slightly higher price you can even rent a suite with a large living room and kitchen.
For the guests there is also a gym and a rooftop swimming pool with views at the surroundings. Nearby are some dining options as well as a Tesco Lotus supermarket at the BTS station. A great base to explore Bangkok.

The hotel is situated a bit south of the city center, but has a complimentary shuttle boat to the Sathorn Pier, where you can take the Chao Phraya Express Boat or the train from the close-by Saphin Taksin BTS Station to explore the city.
As a guest you can enjoy an extensive breakfast and spacious comfortable rooms. Many of them even have a balcony, which is mostly directed to the city or the river. Inside the 36 floors high building you can find a swimming pool, gym, massage, sauna and gardens. The Chatrium offers everything you need for a great stay.

Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort
The Anantara Riverside hotel is a green oasis in the middle of Bangkok. The quiet complex of the hotel is situated right at the Chao Phraya River but far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. With the free shuttle boat you can easily get to the Sathorn Pier with connections to the BTS Skytrain and Chao Phraya Express Boat. The large breakfast buffet, the friendly staff and a beautiful swimming pool will complete your stay.
The rooms of the Anantara Riverside leave nothing to be desired. They even offer a free mobile phone for the time of your stay. Furthermore, the resort offers a gym, massage and spa, a tennis court or a bar directly at the river banks, where you can spent a nice evening in Bangkok.
